National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 20 - Water completely covers Back Loop Road to a depth of 3 feet. The residence on Northwest side of Mendenhall Loop Road will experience major flooding, with water over stem walls and possibly flowing into homes. Surrounding yards and driveways will be covered by at least 3 feet of water.
- 18 - Water will be flowing across Back Loop Road near the Montana Creek bridge up to 1 foot in depth and will likely force the closure of the road. Residence on the Northwest side of Mendenhall Loop Road will flood to the top of foundation with several feet of water covering driveways and surrounding yards. As much as 3 feet of water is possible over the low water crossing on Montana Creek Road.
- 17 - This is an estimate of the stage where the Mendenhall Loop Road near the Montana Creek gauge begins to flood. Houses on NE side of Mendenhall Loop Road will have water up to the foundation and become surrounded by water.
