This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 24 - Several homes and businesses flooded, mostly on north sides of Solomon, Safford, and Thatcher. Bridges may be overtopped.
- 22.5 - Bridges in Safford Valley closed and extensive agricultural flooding. Homes and structures closest to the river threatened.
- 21 - Agricultural flooding begins from Solomon down to Thatcher. Water begins to threaten bridge approaches in the Safford Valley.
