40 Major lowland flooding occurs. Water closes the northbound lane of Highway 59. The lowest homes in the flood plain flood, some up to nine feet. Livestock are cut off and potentially drowned below Highway 59. Levees near the San Antonio River confluence are threatened, as flow is several miles wide above and below Highway 35. Several tens of homes near Tivoli flood and are cut off, and a fishing camp just below Highway 35 floods.
38 Major lowland flooding occurs. The lowest homes in the flood plain flood, some up to seven feet. Hundreds of livestock are cut off and potentially drowned, below Highway 59 to the Guadalupe River confluence. The flood plain above and below Highway 35 is miles wide, flooding and isolating several tens of homes, and flooding a fishing camp near Tivoli. Thirty eight feet is the FEMA hundred year flood elevation.
31 Major lowland flooding occurs. The lowest homes below Highway 59 flood. Many livestock are cut off and potentially drowned below Highway 59 to the Guadalupe River confluence.
30 Major lowland flooding occurs. The flow approaches the lowest homes below Highway 59. Livestock below Highway 59 to the Guadalupe River confluence are cut off and potentially drowned.
28 Moderate lowland flooding of secondary roads and low bridges. Livestock are threatened in the flood plain.
25 Minor lowland flooding occurs. The flow is well into flood plain, cutting off cattle below Highway 59 to the Guadalupe River confluence. Camino drive is inundated.
19 Overbank conditions occur. The flow reaches lowest areas of the flood plain with no significant damage. The rating flattens considerably.
15 Flow exceeds the right and left banks.
