9.4 Record stage and flow of 6,260 cfs established on May 10 1973.
9 Major flooding occurs at Fort Laramie State Park. River is overflowing along the right bank. Only minor flooding occurs at the town of Fort Laramie.
8 Water reaches the base of the bridge of Highway 160 immediately west of the Fort Laramie State Park property (about 1.5 miles upstream from the gage).
7 Flood stage. Highway 160 in the vicinity of the bridge over the Laramie River begins to flood. Grayrocks Road just south of Fort Laramie Histroic site is closed due to high water. Reservoir releases from Grayrocks Reservoir determines the magnitude of successive flooding.
6 Bankfull stage. Minor flooding occurs over low lying areas along the left river bank. Water begins to encroach Grayrocks Road just south of the Fort Laramie Historic site.
