10.29 Record stage established on June 28 1955.
9.5 Major flooding of homes and agricultural land occurs near the river from Mitchell to Scottsbluff. Low lying areas along the Monument Pathway downstream in Scottsbluff are inundated with flood waters. Low lying flooding at Riverside Park downstream in Scottsbluff. Flood wave travel time from Mitchell to Scottsbluff is about 6 to 8 hours.
8.5 Homes along the North Platte River from Mitchell to Scottsbluff become totally inundated with basement and overland flooding. Low lying areal flooding intensifies and becomes more widespread. Low lying areas along the Monument Pathway downstream in Scottsbluff begin to flood. Flood waters begin to encroach low lying areas of Riverside Park in Scottsbluff. Flood wave travel time from Mitchell to Scottsbluff is about 6 to 8 hours.
7.5 Flood stage. Homes along the North Platte River from Mitchell to Scottsbluff will have water in their basements. Water begins to encroach low lying areas along the Monument Pathway downstream in Scottsbluff. Low lying agricultural land near the river will begin to flood. Flood wave travel time from Mitchell to Scottsbluff is about 6 to 8 hours.
6.5 Bankfull stage. Homes along the North Platte River from Mitchell to Scottsbluff will begin to experience water seepage into their basements. Flood wave travel time from Mitchell to Scottsbluff is about 6 to 8 hours.
