29 Major flooding occurs, with flood protection levees being overtopped. The area between Spring Street and the river is flooded, as well as homes and businesses south of East Main Street and West of Staunton Street on the east bank of the Great Miami. Homes and businesses along Rush Creek in Springcreek Township incur major backwater flooding.
24 Significant flooding of businesses and mobile homes occurs along South Main Street, south of Garnsey Street. Homes along Piqua Lockington road incur major flooding. Miami Conservancy Protected areas are not impacted until a stage of 29 feet. In addition, backwater flooding occurs in Springcreek Township along Rush Creek, with major flooding of homes along Piqua Lockington Road.
21 South Main Street is flooded from route 115 to Fox Drive, with significant flooding of businesses and a mobile home community between South Main Street and the river, below Garnsey Street. Areas within the Miami Conservancy Flood protection are protected to a stage of 29 feet. In addition, backwater flooding occurs in Springcreek Township along Rush Creek, with several feet of water in homes along Piqua Lockington Road.
19 This is approximately the FEMA 1 percent flood level. While Piqua is protected by a combination of levees and the Lockington retention area to a stage of 29 feet, the Piqua Wastewater treatment plant is flooded, as well as mobile home communities along South Main Street near Fox Drive. In addition, backwater flooding occurs in Springcreek Township along Rush Creek, with several feet of water in homes along Piqua Lockington Road.
18 While Miami Conservancy Flood protection prevents the city of Piqua to a stage of 29 feet, flood water approaches the mobile home park along south Main Street near Fox Drive. Some flooding of the wastewater treatment plant for Piqua also occurs.
15 Backwater flooding occurs in along Rush Creek in Springcreek Township, with nearly 1 foot of flood water deep in the alleyway behind homes along Piqua Lockington Road, flooding basements and garages in this area. Miami Conservancy Protected areas are not impacted until a stage of 29 feet.
