21 This is the record river crest which occurred during the 2011 Tropical Storm Lee flood. Extensive flooding occurred throughout Monroeton to South Towanda.
20.9 This is the crest height of the flood waters after the rapid snowmelt and heavy rain event January 19 1996. Extensive flooding occurred throughout Monroeton to South Towanda.
20.5 FEMA flood insurance risk maps indicate that this level, as measured at the stream gage, marks the 1% (100 year) floodplain. Your property is at risk for flooding during a major flood event. A 100 year flood is a flood that has a 1 percent chance of occurring in any year.
18.5 Serious flooding extends to Canton Avenue and Shaw Boulevard, all the way downriver to South Towanda. Portions of Route 220 are flooded. Bradford County Airport is inundated. This flood level is near the level of the March 1936 historic flood.
17.4 This is the approximate flood crest from August 14, 2018. Homes in Monroeton are flooded along Brocktown Road up to Spencer, Dalipiaz and Berwick Drives. Hangers at the airport begin to flood.
17 This is the approximate flood stage from November 1, 2019. Homes in Monroeton are flooded along Brocktown Road up to Spencer, Dalpiaz and Berwick Drives. Hangers at the airport begin to flood.
15.5 Water begins spreading into the backyards, and surrounding homes, along Brocktown Road southwest of Monroeton. Widespread agricultural flooding occurs downstream to the confluence of the Susquehanna River.
